Terms of service
Dearly terms of service
These terms govern your use of Dearly ("the app"), a voice journaling app by Swapnil Tiwari (contact: swapniltiwari775@gmail.com). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
Dearly lets you record voice entries, transcribe them, and receive AI-generated reflections (moods, people/places/topics, and feelings) about what you wrote. A free tier covers basic recording and transcription; premium features (deeper insights and export) require a subscription.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account or with Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country and at least 13 years old to use the app.
Subscriptions and billing
- Premium is offered as a monthly ($1.99/month) or annual ($9.99/year) subscription, and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Every new account gets a 15-day free trial of Premium, provided by the app itself — no payment method needed.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account (Android) or your Apple ID (iOS/App Store). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel anytime: on Android in Google Play → Subscriptions; on iOS in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled under the respective store's policies.
- Prices may change; we will give notice and any change applies only to future billing periods.
Your content
Your journal is yours. You retain all rights to your recordings, transcripts, and notes. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the app for you — to transcribe, analyze, sync, and store your content as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
AI features and no professional advice
Transcriptions and reflections are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are for personal reflection only and are not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice. If you are in crisis or need help, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, to store or transmit content you have no right to, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its rate limits.
Termination
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or as required to protect the service.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss of data beyond what applicable law requires. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; we will update this page and the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
